is it a axle bearing puller for a vw? i have had to cut grooves in the outer part of the bearing and chisel them out. or take the axle tube off.

the best way is to drive the axle in as far as it will go then pull it back out and hopefully the bearing comes out of the axle tube far enough to get a puller on it...
you may not need a puller if there not stuck..there a bitch if there stuck. :?

i've never been able to push it in far enough to pull it out. :)

but i used this one puller once, and i'm pretty sure it broke my snap ring on the axle. :D
